Sorry if I gave you a heart attack yesterday Mom, when the MTC called. So newest story of my eye's life: Saturday night as I was going to bed I felt as though something was in my eye, but nothing was working. I blinked a million times... and just went to bed. I woke up Sunday and my eyes were slightly pink. Monday came and I had vampire-like eyes. There were really red!!! They were really irritated-feeling. Sister Fairbourn was concerned, so we went to the clinic, but it was closed. So we went to the front desk and I talk to a doctor here... I didn't really like what he said, so I thought my eyes would just endure. But my branch president stopped by that night and asked about them. On Tuesday I was paged and told that I had an appointment at the clinic. Apparently my branch president and called making sure that my eyes would be checked. So, that's why they called you. Tomorrow morning I am going to see an ophthalmologist .... I really have no idea how to spell that. The doctor here at the MTC said that we should up my prescription, so I don't know if you want to tell Dr. Hogue that ... I guess we'll see what the doctor says tomorrow and see whether or not about the stuff Dr. Hogue is prescribing me. Anyways, that's the most exciting thing of my life! Ha... not really. OH!!! GUESS WHO GETS TO CALL HER FAMILY ON TUESDAY!!!! Yep! That would be me. Tuesday, 5 in the morning we are meeting to be carted off to the airport, where I get to call my family and then get to fly to California! Yep. It's finally arrived... weird. But yeah, you should expect a call from me 7-8am UT time... 8-9am OK time on Tuesday morning. Except I don't know which phone number to call since no one ever answers the home phone. So tell me which one you'd prefer me calling asap. :D Oh! And... if you really want to... I need a calling card. I don't know if they have any of those here, and I don't know how to buy a good one... so if you really want to you could send me one... :) Oh and I have a favor to ask someone, possibly Trevor. So I just realized the other day that I'm missing part of the camera charger. It should be in my blue basket. It's the part that connects into the wall. I have the part I put the battery in, but apparently there's another piece to it and I remember seeing it before I left, but I didn't realize that it went with the camera charger... so can you send me that por favor? Sorry I'm so forgetful. So I got Trevor's, Mom's, and Dad's letters yesterday. Thank you so much!!! I love getting all of your letters. Especially thank you Mom and Trevor. You two are the reason I get so much mail. :D And Mom. I loved your spiritual thought of yesterday, so much so that I shared it with my companion and two elder's from my zone. One of the Elder's really liked that and said, "I'm stealing that thought," and wrote it down. You are so wise. And wonderful. And thank you for everyone else for their wonderful letters of love and comfort. :D So last week on Wednesday, we had 2 new girls move into our room. So there's a total of 6. They are both spanish speaking going somewhere in CA. One of the Sisters (Allsop) and I were talking about where I lived. She asked where in NY, I told her Ithaca... and then she asked if I knew the Samuelson's. It took me a moment and then I exclaimed, "Kelsey?" She and Kelsey had been roommates the last year. Weird coincidence? Huh? And then she's from Mapelton and knows Heather Williams who I met at the Hill Cumorah Pageant the last time we went. What a crazy world! It's great. I finally was able to see my FHE brother Christian this last week too. He teachers here. I was just about to start my service by mopping/drying the floors with my companion when he walked into the building! That was great being able to see him. And I've seen 2 people here that I knew from the Testing Center. So cool!!! Anyways, and who's and ha's. How's life with the family? Oh, and I don't remember if I asked last time, but I want to know more about fifth disease... if I am permitted to know more. The MTC is going great. Yesterday I had a good experience at the TRC. It was a sweet old man who lost his wife 1 1/2 ago. He was inactive, but was always dragged to church. The spirit was great as we spoke to him. It was a marvelous experience. I love my teachers and everything they are teaching us. They really know what we need. I'm really nervous about going to the field, excited, but nervous because I still don't know everything... and we've only learned the first 2 lessons. I know I will have lots to learn in the field. It will be great... scary, but great. Man, my mind gone's blank... this morning we were able to go to the temple. That was nice. Oh, and I think I've gained most of the lbs. I lost before I came. Every morning (Trevor would be proud), I've eaten a old fashion doughnut. You know how I don't normally like doughnuts, well these are divine! Yum.... so good. And... life is continually going good here. And I love you all so much!!!!! I hope you are all continually doing well. I think about you often. But not so much that I get distracted. :) I am really sorry, I have about 6 minutes left and my mind is totally blank. I guess life is just the same for me. Eat, zone teaching, class, eat, class, study, gym, and ect. Yep. That is the life of a missionary in the MTC. And there is the unlimited supply of food. Ha. But it is good. I have taken pictures... maybe one day I'll actually print them and send you some of them... but Sister Dodge's didn't turn out so well when she did them, so maybe I'll wait until CA. We'll see. Oh! I fell in love with the Japanese language! Last week some Japanese missionaries sang a song and it was beautiful!!! It's such a pretty language and I never noticed before. Anyways, I love you much!!! Have a good week!!! And I'll TALK to you on Tuesday!!! And let me know about what phone to call... and whether you want to give me a calling card... and about that charger.
Love always and forever,
Your loving daughter,
Sister Kristi Walston
